Who It’s For

A covered porch or patio feels finished when there is a fire to gather around. You need a fireplace made to live outside that still looks like a classic hearth. The Barbara Jean OFP42 Outdoor Fireplace is for that outdoor room. An indoor fireplace is not built for the weather; this one is.

What Makes It Special

Designed for your outdoor oasis, the OFP42 catches the eye in satin coat black or stainless steel, with your choice of brick liner. This listing is the stainless steel finish with the standing pilot valve.

Standard features include a flame sensor that constantly monitors the pilot and shuts off the gas completely if the pilot is not sensed, a stainless steel pull screen, and lava rock.

Add the split oak log set, a traditional or herringbone brick liner, a stainless steel surround, and a stainless steel or black weather cover. Every Barbara Jean unit is crafted in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, and it is certified in the USA and Canada as an outdoor decorative gas appliance.

Possible Downsides

• The log set is ordered separately. Barbara Jean pairs it with the split oak set.
• There is no remote. The standing pilot valve runs on a manual hi/low control.
• Wind affects the flame. The manual recommends a wind guard where it is windy.

If you want a classic log fire on the porch, the Barbara Jean OFP42 Outdoor Fireplace is the right decision. The porch stays busy long after the sun goes down.

Choose the split oak log set, a traditional or herringbone brick liner, a stainless steel surround, a weather cover, and the battery pilot igniter.
