Who It’s For

Two rooms share a wall, and only one of them gets the fire—the other side gets drywall. Every evening, someone ends up in the room without it. You need one fire both rooms can see. If you’re building or remodeling and want the living room on one side and the dining room on the other to share the same flame, the Vector 62 see-through is the one built for it. A single-sided fireplace warms the room it faces; this one makes both sides the good side.

What Makes It Special

This is a see-through fireplace: nearly five and a half feet of fire visible from both rooms at once. It reads like a window with a fire in it—light and movement from every seat on either side of the wall.

You run everything from the couch or your phone. The included remote and the eFIRE app handle on and off, flame height, and the multi-colored LED ember bed—pick a color to match the room or the mood, with top lights adding a glow from above.

Planning a TV above it? The optional Dynamic Heat Control system keeps the wall above cooler so a screen or artwork can hang there, and it works without a fan, so the quiet stays quiet. A ducted option even lets the fireplace serve as a room divider, with cables passed safely through the wall.

Possible Downsides

• No media is included. Logs, glass, rocks, or globes are a required separate choice when you order.
• The fan is optional. Out of the box there is no blower; heat circulation kits are add-ons.
• It ships set up for natural gas. Running it on propane takes a conversion kit.

Media choices range from high-definition oak, driftwood, and birch log sets to a woodland kit, a beach fire kit, mineral rocks, wrought iron globes, and glass beads or embers in amber, black, blue, clear, red, and topaz; a stainless steel screen barrier, black finishing trim, end panels, and a wall-mount control finish the installation.
