Who It’s For

A linear gas fireplace this size usually comes with a catch: glass hot enough that you plan the furniture around it and keep one eye on the kids and the dog. You need a big fire the whole family can get close to. If you want the fire to be the first thing people notice in the room—and you don’t want to spend the evening guarding it—the Luxuria LVX62 is the one. Choose a standard linear fireplace instead and you’ll live with hot glass or a safety screen between you and the flames.

What Makes It Special

The triple-pane glass guard makes the LVX62 safe to touch. That means no mesh barrier dulling the view—just five and a half feet of open flame you can walk right up to, with furniture and people as close as you like.

Dynamic Heat Control is built in. It lowers the wall temperature above the fire without running a fan, so a TV or artwork can hang directly above the fireplace and the room stays quiet while it warms. If you want to push warm air farther, an optional fan kit can move the heat to other areas of the home.

Multi-colored LED lights run through the ember bed and across the top of the firebox, so the fireplace glows with or without a flame—a summer evening still gets the centerpiece.

Possible Downsides

• The interior media is required and sold separately. You choose logs, rocks, or glass before the fireplace is complete.
• The fan kit is optional, not included. Dynamic Heat Control works without one; add the kit only if you want forced air.

If you want a fire big enough to anchor the room and safe enough to touch, the Luxuria LVX62 is the right decision. The room it’s in becomes the room the house lives in.

The fire is yours to design: high-definition oak, driftwood, or birch logs, standard birch or beach fire logs, mineral rocks, a woodland kit, wrought iron globes, and glass beads or embers in amber, black, blue, clear, red, or topaz—with ambient-glow embers, a linear trim, a wall control, and an indoor/outdoor kit also available.
