Who It’s For

A fireplace should look like a real fire and warm the room it is in. You need one that fits the wall and the way you live. The Kingsman ZCV34H is for the homeowner who wants a gas fire on the wall with a clean view of the flames. Choose one sized wrong and you either overheat the room or end up with a fire that looks lost.

What Makes It Special

It is a dedicated clean view fireplace, so nothing sits between you and the fire but the glass and a safety screen barrier.

The standing-pilot or electronic-ignition valve keeps working during a power failure, with hi/low heat and flame adjustment; the electronic version runs from a wall-mount battery holder when the power is out.

Vent the chase and the wall above stays cooler for a TV or artwork, with lower mantel clearances (consult the installation manual).

This is the higher-efficiency version with ceramic glass, the choice for additional warmth; the standard version is rated for ambiance and taking the chill out of the room.

Possible Downsides

• The fan kit is optional. Without it, the fireplace heats by radiance.
• The remote is optional on the standing-pilot version. The Proflame II electronic version includes one.

If you want a gas fire that suits the room it is in, the Kingsman ZCV34H is the right decision. The room you used to pass through becomes the one everyone settles into.

Choose hearth mount or picture frame surrounds, porcelain reflective, fluted, or brick liners, oak, birch, or driftwood log sets, rocks, stones, ember glass, ember chunks, or cannonballs, the fan kit, and a wall or programmable thermostat.
