Who It’s For
Older fireplaces are often small and tall, and most inserts are wide and short. You want an insert shaped for that opening. The Enviro Q1 insert is for it.
What Makes It Special
The Q1 insert is a portrait gas insert with a clean face and no louvers, an included classic log set, and an electronic ignition.
Surrounds include a Victorian face, minimal, modern, and contemporary with a trimmable panel; liners include brick, black enameled, and ledgestone.
A room fan and the ClearView safety screen come with it, and Enviro rates it at 74.5% efficiency. Enviro backs its gas units with a limited lifetime warranty.
Possible Downsides
• It is a small insert. For a wide opening, look at the E30 or E33.
If your fireplace is small and tall, the Enviro Q1 insert is the right decision. The old fireplace becomes the warmest spot in the room.
