You want a big fire on a wall that may also hold a TV, without heat cooking whatever hangs above it. The Enviro G42 is for that wall.

What Makes It Special

The G42 has a clean face with no louvers and adjustable ember bed lighting. This listing is the glass burner with diamond glass, with a black enameled steel liner included.

The Cool Surface System is included: it channels rising heat up behind the wall and out through an included vent bezel, past a TV or artwork above, and allows up to an inch of combustible material such as drywall.

Liners include brown or black ceramic brick, herringbone, and ledgestone; the slim face is standard and the Forgeworks face is optional. The ClearView safety screen comes with it. Enviro backs its gas units with a limited lifetime warranty.

Possible Downsides

• Pick the burner up front. Log and glass burners are separate versions.
• Power vent is extra. The optional power vent kit is for long or downward vent runs.
