Who It’s For

A great room needs a fire long enough to hold the wall. You need a linear fireplace in a big size, with the option to share it. The Astria Allume DLX 60 is for the room that wants a 60-inch linear gas fireplace.

What Makes It Special

An expansive ceramic glass opening shows flames over platinum crushed glass, with multi-colored LED floor lighting that glows with or without a fire. A see-through kit lets it show in two rooms.

A six-speed blower and touchscreen remote come with it, three flame settings give up to a 30% turn-down, and electronic ignition has battery backup. A HeatFlo kit can direct heat above heat-sensitive wall hangings. Astria backs it with a limited lifetime warranty.

Possible Downsides

• The blower doesn’t work see-through. Blower use isn’t compatible with a see-through install.

If you want a long linear fire that fills a big wall, the Astria Allume DLX 60 is the right decision. The fire becomes the line the whole room is built around.

Choose glass media, a reflective glass liner, black perimeter trim, driftwood logs or river rock, and the see-through kit.
