Dimplex: Nova Series 23

A real fire’s glow, anywhere there’s an outlet.

Quick Facts

• Heating Capacity: 0–500 sq ft
• Fuel: Electric—plugs into a standard household outlet.
• Controls: Multi-function remote plus hidden built-in controls—thermostat, timer, flame brightness and speed.
• Fan: Included

Who It’s For

The room that could use a fire is the one with no chimney and no gas line—or the opening you have would take real work to bring back, so the fire never happens. You need a fireplace that works the day it comes home. If you want flames tonight—in a den, a bedroom, a basement, or the fireplace you already have—the Dimplex Nova is the one. Choose gas instead and you’re scheduling a gas line and a construction project before you ever see a flame.

What Makes It Special

The fire is yours to set. Slow the flames to a low evening glow or run them tall and bright, and shift the firebox hues until the light suits the room and the mood. Because the flames run with the heater off, you get the fire 365 days a year—July evenings included.

When you do want warmth, the built-in heater delivers it on demand, rated for up to 1,000 square feet—a large living room and then some. And the install is the easy kind: it retrofits into an existing fireplace opening or builds into a new surround or mantel, and our team confirms the fit at the in-home preview.

Possible Downsides

• Acrylic crystals are the only media in the box; driftwood log sets, river rocks, black rocks, and tumbled glass are optional add-ons—and the same firebox is sold with molded logs instead if you want that look from day one.
• It’s a room warmer, not a furnace; if you need whole-home heat or heat through a power outage, look at a gas or wood unit.

If you want a real-looking fire without a gas line, a chimney, or a construction project, the Nova is the right decision. The room it’s in becomes the room the house lives in.

The look stays adjustable after the fact: ember beds in tumbled glass, river rocks, black rocks, and acrylic crystals, plus Beach Driftwood and classic Driftwood faux log sets, let the fire match the room it lives in.
