Who It’s For

You want a linear fire on a wall where gas would be a project. You need an electric fire that builds in and still looks like flame. The Astria Plexus 84 is for the room that wants a 84-inch linear electric fireplace.

What Makes It Special

A multi-level yellow and blue flame plays over a smoked crystal ember bed with driftwood logs, with multi-colored ember lighting and an LED ceiling light in four settings.

A thermostatically controlled heater gives heat on demand, and the remote runs the flames, lights, and heater. It can be hardwired or plugged in. Astria backs it with a one-year limited warranty.

Possible Downsides

• It is supplemental heat. The heater warms the room you are in; the flames run with the heat off.
• The warranty is one year. Astria’s gas fireplaces carry longer coverage.

If you want a modern linear fire without gas, the Astria Plexus 84 is the right decision. The wall gets a fire the day it’s finished.

Choose the 60-, 72-, 84-, or 100-inch size.
